How long do you think it took to make that project, and how many people were involved? â€‹

I believe this is a one person Job based on the many different variations there is

What sort of materials do they use to create it? â€‹

they most likely used a software with the help of x and y axis grid consisted on circles and which was divided in number

Blog Post #2

what your initial thoughts were and any difficulties you faced?

During the beginning stages it was really difficult to know not only where to start but how every can work together, Im still trying to figure out how to play the two melodies at the same time. And as a musician i am quite disappointed. But as i keep going it gets a little easier. We love trail and error.

So in class this week we learned some new coding's that has the ability to not only have both light on at the same time but, as well as using the buttons to correspond with which light to be on or of. we even took it ither level for the lights to switch colors. And let me tell you.... that was probably one of the most frustrating things to do. In the class all the instructions, zoom went over my head and at the end had the meanest headache, but i knew i had to get this down so my friend offered to help me which was tough to me to understand what  is what. (poor girl, cause it was Badddddd)  but, I GOT IT! now i know not only what to do but it works.

For this task we were assigned to make a jukebox with the coding and micro bit. and let me tell you.... that was really hard to remember where everything belongs. the part i had the most trouble is when knowing were the all the wires belong in correlation with the p0, p8, ground power etc. i tried a lot of combinations and i still dont know how it works, many would say hey is the coding right and i can say with confidence, it is for the fact i never deleted. Hopefully I get it before next class!!!  check it out

In this week we were tasked with the assignment of making a musical instrument which is a bit different from the juke box that we did before. And the reason for it, because we now have *analogs* . And how fun it is to use these bastards. But I have to say they make things a bit more interesting. But getting to understand them was really hard to do. I had to do outside research to understand and i do a bit more. I like the new tool that was introduced to us that makes the sounds beep with any tone or key of a song. I will most like use that in my project but till then check it out.

  • What inspires your project or what idea/concept/form is it based off of?

One idea i had is making a jukebox but there are strobe lights like the lights will flash on and of or will match the beat of the song so if the analog is pressed the lights will match. as well the mirco bit will show the notes of the song as it is playing. to follow along.

  • What difficulties do you anticipate (wiring, components, fabrication, coding, etc) if any, and how do you plan to approach these problems?

I believe that the most difficulties i will have is the coding with a dash of wiring. i plan to ask for my peers advice as well as the teacher ask for any suggestions to make life easier and of course our best friend google

  • Categorize the components of your project into "must have", "would like" and "finishing touches." As discussed in class.

Must have: lights of different color, mirco bit. speaker,

would like: anolog that makes different sounds,

finishing touches: im not sure yet

In this part of my post i'll would like to talk about the hardships, process, and the end results of the whole project.

Process: At first i wanted to create a  jukebox that will of course play music but, the catch will be that the micro bit will determine the note that te song is playing as it plays. There will also be an analog that when press will making altering sounds. However, there was a problem, the micro bit can't seem to tell the difference between the notes, and the one that it does have coded is followed by  numbers and would not appear on the micro bit. there was also the problem that there are so much unknown that comes with it. My teacher at one point was like hold up I gotta do some research. and so i changed the project as a whole and chose, and you guessed it, morse code. And let me tell you this one had its shares of " what the hell" and it took a few days as well as a lot of emails to try and understand the concept. So basically what it does is that it sends morse code to another microbit at a different location. you can think of it as a walkie talkie but for micro bits. as you received a message the light will turn on and you will hear a sound informing you that you got a message. when clicking the buttons it on send dashes and dots. this will of course correlate with what you want to say. this way people learn how to actually use it!

Hardship: Well for starters i had to learn a whole new concept that we did not learn in class. they were called radio and let me tell you, im still confused as to what it does. i understand the min that help me with the work and we thank google for that. what made it more confusing to me at the time was that the radio has different stations so i have to make sure that were all on the same line which leads to the number line they are on and its quite a bit. wiring was also a hard time i had. for some reason the was kinda different from regular coding so that took time for me to understand. and lets talk about the design, i wanted to do something different but i didnt get any great ideas and sometime i think compared to my other classmates i dont think i didnt do so well. but i thought of it as a game for kids thus, a simple design was probably the best. we love the three r's  to reduce reuse and recycle. But i did it!

End at the space ship that only has morse code to translate to people was officially complete. i think it is a cute gadget for kids and people to play with and can actually learn from! check out the codes!

Heyo again!

in class we are learning a new concept, coding! and we are using p5.js. we are starting of with simple shapes and colors and let me tell you the use of the triangle, arc and line....... totally out of my league. i dont understand what its purpose and i dont think i want to. it is sooo tedious. and the understanding of pi... brings back memories that should stay hidden. so i tend to stick to simple shapes and make it work. check out my work. theres a whole story to it! wanted to make something different

In this weeks class we learned not only how to have a moving object, but make it change colors as well while it hits. and let me tell you i wasn't in class for the day we added color so to learn it from somewhere else on google and to try to understand the concept it hurts, my brain and soul hurt...... Luckily i understand a bit of it but i hope to go to class and learn it hopefully an easier way as well. I hope o got the basics down.

check it out https://editor.p5js.org/Deb10able/sketches/4fOBREUzd

we also learned about a very strong women named Maria Ressa and she helped people like me not only understand the power technology has on us but how it is also has the power to abuse people as well. I suggest you read up on her cause she has been through a lot!

I know I know im kinda late but i did some research and i found out how to create an interactive art where i basically coded circles to come from the mouse at any direction to make shapes ect. it is harder to explain so go check it out!

Hey Guys! so this may be my last official blog it was nice to post problems  and and results. speaking about that let me introduce you to my final project, it is called the catching game where you basically catch the ball and the longer you play the faster the ball falls.
i really had some difficulty here because the codes are just so complex when put together. i wanted to have different shapes falling instead of just circle but im not to familiar  with switch statements. so circle will do for now. also to get the mouse as a catcher is hard as well but thank you internet to help me breakdown what each thing means
but here check it out
